Tornado drill, bloodiest paper cut I have ever seen, tons of lost teeth, Dr. Seuss' birthday, new mandatory computer program, blah blah blah. This was my week. Now it's the weekend! Woo-hoo!
Check out this week's Five for Friday linky!
Dental Health Month - I may have waited until the last two days of Dental Health Month, but I got my favorite Dental Health Activity completed! We took hard boiled eggs and put them in pop overnight. On day 2, we used a toothbrush and toothpaste and cleaned our eggs. This is always a favorite activity and really shows my students why they need to brush their teeth!
Dr. Seuss' Birthday - This year we didn't have as much time to get into all the Dr. Seuss activities that I would normally have completed. Oh well, at least I got to wear my fabulous Cat in the Hat jewelry bought through my Etsy addiction! On another note, I may or may not need to enter an Etsy-anonymous rehab program soon.
If I Ran the Zoo - I should have read this Dr. Seuss story this week. It could have been an autobiography...
Casimir Pulaski Day - Do you live outside the Chicago-land area? If so, you probably never heard of him. Growing up in this area, I always loved the guy, because I got the first Monday in March off of school. I never took the time to know who he was or questioned why we got the day.
Flash forward to when I became a teacher. I felt the need to teach my students all about him. Unfortunately, there is not much out there. I made my own product to help teachers show students what an amazing man he was! Click the pic below if you want to check this out.
